This Mt. Airy neighborhood has a suburban feel with tree-lined streets, inviting front porches and nicely landscaped yards. You have easy access to downtown Philadelphia either by car or the local rail line. The neighborhood train station is just a block from this accommodation. Chestnut Hill is just 2 miles away where you will find shopping, restaurants and many family friendly events. For nature lovers the Morris Arboretum and Wissahickon Valley Park are a short drive.

The third floor of this home offers a private space for guests. At the top of the stairs is a cozy “extra” room with a full size bed, a bookcase, armchair and small dresser. This sunny spot is a comfortable room for a traveling companion wanting a separate sleeping space.  The primary bedroom, at the end of the hall, has a queen-size bed, dresser and bed-side tables. Painted a soft peach color the room has a peaceful feeling. The private bath is located in the middle of the hall between the two bedrooms.

Your hostess is a college professor who has traveled and taught overseas. She speaks Japanese and some French. Her living room and dining room contain mementos from her trips. The living room has a piano and comfortable reading area. A continental breakfast is served in the dining room on the first floor. In warmer weather you can take advantage of her lovely front porch.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Gingko b and b. We felt very welcome and at home! The hostess was very nice and very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again in the future and recommend this to family and friends.

I would recommend Ginkgo Gardens to anyone. A generous Continental breakfast, a comfortable bed a little on the firm side. Neat, clean room with closet and full bathroom.
I’ll stay there again if I make another trip down. I’ve recommended it to a friend already.
Also, she’s quite interesting. had a few long discussion with her. Very knowledgeable and personable. I enjoyed her company
